Having a good time, Afterwork>

5 minutes recording, 15 minutes of videocutting and lots of fun. Purpose - bring more collegues to next afterwork. For once I am visible too. Join me and feel the groove hmm....

How it started

I started my "carriere" as photographer a long time ago as kid. Video came in around 2002. I started to record dance at the local salsa clubs since I wanted tro bring home that happy feeling, share it and give something back to the salsa community. Salsa made me once well from a disease. It gave me a context and a reason to live.

At that time I worked under an alias - Lucretia Productions>.

But since my old brand now a days is "stolen" by a young creative English movie maker I have to stick to my own name.

Last years I have managed pretty well with a small Fuji camera. It was easy to bring and hide in dance club environment. But my eager for quality and high shutterspeed made me buy a Canon 500 D this winter. What you see below are a few of the first attempts.

Valentine Bachata Festival, Stockholm Sweden 2010

I worked taking photos at this festival. But I had lots of time for classes and social browsing, bachata dancing and salsa dancing. Free food and a private chauffeur - and VIP passeport. What else to wish?

Göteborg Salsa Weekend 2008

A hot pulsating "diary" from a magic salsaweekend. Here you can wach some more "advanced" video editing than in the salsa section. But I didn´t have the camera I have to day. Video quality is limited to what my small Fuji camera could manage.

To synch music and dance is the big task with a project like this. The song and the motion should flow together and make a harmony. Very often I have to change the speed of the video to make the dancers dance to the beat. When this is impossible - some motions has to sync.

And of course you need a story to tell....even if it is short.
